Ocean Universal in Cairns has a proper spearfishing range. That's no accident — the shop used additional reading to be Spearfishing Superstore, so that side of things has always been the core.
In stock you'll find rail spearguns, camo wetsuits, long-blade fins, low-volume masks, weight belts, floats, dive knives, and spearfishing accessories. It's all chosen for tropical waters — not southern gear that doesn't suit FNQ.
They became Ocean Universal because the shop had already added scuba and freediving gear over the years. But the spearo side is still there. It's still central to what of the store.
The crew are active spearfishers and can help with what works on FNQ reefs.
